Location
For such a small area, only around 45 miles east to west, 30 miles North to South, and 60 miles of coastline (the equivalent of 97,794 Millennium Stadiums) South East Wales certainly fits a lot in. Stunning countryside, a National Park and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty are all packed into the region as well as two cities.
As you’d guessed our location is one of our biggest assets; to accommodate our excellent work : life balance we offer a wide choice of lifestyles, from the hustle and bustle of the cities to the tranquil Wye Valley, from the mountainous scenery of the north, overlooking the Brecon Beacons to the coastal plain. The M4 corridor is the main arterial route across the south of the region, linking it to London, the south east and the West Country whilst the A456 in the north links to the M50/M5 and onto the West Midlands and north. These routes have attracted many logistics and warehousing companies to region, particularly along the M4 corridor, from Chepstow to Cardiff.
Because of the compact nature of the region you can locate your business along the M4 or A456 Corridors, but live in the more rural north east, which gives you fantastic views over the Brecon Beacons, the south east along the Wye valley, bordering the Forest of Dean, or in the coastal plain and still be at your office desk or factory within the hour.
South East Wales is the Region of Choice; very few areas can boast such diversity in business opportunity, from software to pharmaceuticals, from aerospace to digital media, combined with lifestyle options, from golf on an internationally recognised competition course to internationally recognised mountain biking courses, from sailing to rock climbing, and everything in between the region has it all.
South East Wales is the most easterly part of Wales, we border with England along the mouth of the River Severn and up the Wye valley. To demonstrate the desirability of the region we had to build a second Severn crossing to increase our road links to London and the south east and our rail network links direct to London and Bristol (Major upgrade and electrification scheduled to be complete by 2017) to the south and Birmingham and Manchester to the north.
