Health

Responsibility for the NHS is devolved to Welsh Government, and as such sets all policy for the NHS in Wales, this includes free prescriptions for all Wales residents. South East Wales is well serviced by NHS provision; the region is split into three boards, Aneurin Bevan, Cwm Taf and Cardiff & Vale university health boards.

Hospitals:

The region is serviced by six major NHS Hospitals and several private hospitals including Vale healthcare in Hensol and Spire Healthcare (formerly BUPA) in Cardiff. Full details of the regions hospitals are available on the respective health board’s websites.

GP’s Surgeries & Dental Care:

The region is home to several hundred GP and Dental surgeries, Cardiff Alone is home to over 50 GP surgeries. Full details of the regions GP and Dental Surgeries are available on the respective health board’s websites.
