Capital Wales can provide advice and support in securing the most appropriate funding to support your business needs…No Funding is ever Guaranteed!
In some parts of the region, the individual Local Authorities provide financial support up to £10,000 or 35% of capital costs for a project through the Local Investment Fund. Throughout the region, support may be available from the Welsh Government through Finance Wales who provide business investment funding or the recently launched Repayable Grant scheme. Additionally support may be available through other schemes such as UK Steel Enterprise or other independent financial sources. Some Local Authorities operate small financial support schemes applicable only in their Authority area.
All applications are dealt with confidentially and are assessed on merit and job creation potential. No capital expenditure should be made until any grant application has been reviewed and agreed. Capital expenditure can include refurbishment of premises, adaption to make fit for purpose and equipment purchase. Revenue costs are generally not supported. Schemes also exist to support the cost of research and innovation.
